Huawei P50 Pocket Foldable Phone Launched With Snapdragon 888 SoC, Galaxy Z Flip 3 compitetor ?

As we all know Huawei has been making foldables since 2019 with its Mate X series. The Chinese tech giant is back again with its first ever clamshell foldable design - the Huawei P50 Pocket, giving direct competition to the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Huawei P50 Pocket Phone has Launched in China and comes with a multi-dimensional hinge mechanism patented by Huawei. Talking about the build, its made up of a custom 3D structured glass design. In terms of look, it follows the design out laid by Huawei P50 series. Now let's talk about the specs...

Huawei P50 Pocket Specs:-

Lets talk about the display first, the device features two screens, the primary one is a tall 6.9 inch, 21:9 aspect ratio, full HD+ OLED panel with a hole punch for the selfie shooter, also it has a refresh rate of 120Hz and comes with a touch sampling rate of 300Hz. The screen resolution is 2790x1188px. The secondary one is a 1-inch OLED panel, which can be used for multiple purposes such as checking time, date, notifications, calls and for taking selfies. There's even a dedicated widget for first and third party apps that can benefit from the secondary screen.

Now let's talk about the optics, Huawei P50 Pocket comes with a triple camera setup, housing a primary 40-megapixel shooter, along with a 32-megapixel f/1.8 ultra spectrum sensor which will Huawei says will help will help in boosting color rendering and a 13-megapixel f/2.2 ultrawide sensor. The front camera which is located inside the hole punch is a 10.7 megapixel sensor. 

Lets move towards what's present inside the heart of the phone, Huawei P50 Pocket is powered by the powerful Snapdragon 888 4G SoC, paired with Aderno 660 GPU. 

The battery capacity of the Huawei P50 Pocket is 4000mAh and it comes with 40W of fast wired charging. 

Huawei P50 Pocket Pricing:-

Huawei P50 Pocket comes in two color variants Obsidian Black and Crystal White. However, Huawei has teamed up with haute couture designer Iris Van Herpen, hence we have a premium gold edition as well.

The base 8/256 GB variant is priced at CNY 8,988, which converts to roughly around 1.06 Lakhs. The premium gold edition comes with 12/512 GB and is priced at CNY 10,988, which again converts to around 1.3 Lakhs. Although first sales in China has already started, Huawei hasn't unveiled the international availability or pricing yet.
