Narendra Modi's governnent is ready for launching a new app
which is also known as "Mother of all apps".
This app Umang will bring you 200 public facilities offered by Central, State & Local
administrations in just one single platform.

Umang will give you services like applying for a passport, filing income-tax returns & paying various bills or to access other government services in just one mobile app easilyy.

Evryone is using a smartphone and  also using Internet so this app will be helpfull for every Indian citizen.

What does Umang do?

UMANG stands for Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance. Some of the services provided under UMANG are, National scholarship, , Passport Seva, Women Safety, Healthcare applications, E-Post, Crime and criminal tracking, Income tax, , Commercial tax/GST, E-Municipality, CBSE/State educatiNetwork and systems,on boards, IRCTC, , Mother and child tracking,  Utility bills, Public distribution system, e-Court, m-Kisan, Transport Vahan/Sarathi, Land records. The government had planned to have at least 50 service this year and gradually scale up to 200 in three years.

About Umang

The app will be designed in such a way that it will be very easyy to use and remembering personal details. So the users must not have to re-enter/login it again & again.

The gov plans that the app should be availabel for all who are using smartphone & Internet.
Umang can be used in 13 different languages including English.

Even still the project is on the waiting line of 8 months. The gov is looking for a Private agency which can can work on tha app Umang.  So umang is on its way this year with 50 public facilities.
